(More customer reviews)I withdrew my previous, somewhat critical review and I'm replacing it with this. Having used this mug a while, I've fallen in love with it. It's extremely high quality in materials and construction. The vacuum holds the temperature a very long time.
This is not intended for a car; it won't fit the holder. Rather it is for the Asian practice of making green tea and carrying around at work. There is a little removeable tea basket to brew in the mug. Only 11 oz but very comfortable to hold, slim. Expensive but worth it.
Having worked for an electronics company which did vacuum packaging, I can tell you that most of the "vacuums" in home / kitchen products will not last very long before leaking in air. This means the heat retention capability will deteriorate over time. Zojirushi is different; they make equipment for the restaurant trade and it lasts.
