(More customer reviews)The items in the photo were back lit to make the patterns appear lighter than they actually are. In reality the contrast of the print and the background is not that extreme, and with the brown cinnamon candles I already bought to put in them, you can hardly see the print at all. Not made for dim lighting, as again you do not notice the pattern. I will have to buy white candles just to make the pattern stand out. Best if displayed in a well lit area, which is not really the point since they are candle holders. I still think they are cute and the size is very convenient. Not exactly what I expected, but I am keeping them.
