(More customer reviews)Tupperware thinks of everything. There is even a little vent on the lid to allow steam to escape when cooking in microwave. No instructions for use were included but I am okay with that. I bought this to steam veggies for 1 or 2 people. Size is just right to do the broccoli. Not worried about BPA or whatever the concerns are with using plastic in the microwave. From what I've learned, there's plenty of lead and cadmium in glassware or stoneware, and much of the stoneware on the market today is not certified for health safety. The NSF says plastic with a rating of 4 or 5 is generally considered safe. I think this is fine for low-level cooking in the microwave, and the product is designed so well -- the broccoli will steam fast it in it, so it will not be in the microwave very long anyway. All around, an idea product for a little light steaming of the vegetables. Convenient size stores easily in the cupboard without being bulky.
