Also if you were to try and make these yourself, this quality fur would cost you $60-80 easily let alone the labor to make it), versatile, and perfect for dogs 25lbs and under. I paid $50+ for the same bed at my local pet boutique and do not regret it whatsoever. I wasn't planning buying this, but at a trip to get dog food with my Jack Russell pup, i saw this bed...I propped open the cave part to see if a dog would actually take to it. Boy, did he take to it! The minute i opened the cave he crawled in and laid down!!! I'm a skeptic, and thought I may be wasting my money on a bed that would fall apart in a week. But since he wouldn't get out of it and started suckling on the fur I felt i had to buy it.
I've had this bed for 4 months now, and i can attest to its high quality, and chic fashionable look in any place in the home! Looks just as good as when I bought it, has not needed a repair EVER, and looks super luxurious as any excess fur has come out(all faux fur sheds a bit at first). It has gone through 1-2 washings per week, and drying with no heat(Remember NO HEAT as heat ruins the fur...don't worry it dries very quickly) and looks like i got it yesterday.
This bed is great for dogs who like to take the stuffing out of beds, as it has none. The fur itself is so plush(especially if on carpet or a bath mat), more than enough for all but the most arthritic dogs. I would recommend it to anyone with a dog 25 lbs and under if you might like to use it as a cave bed...but could accommodate a pit bull if you plan to use it laid out flat.
Its also very light, can be rolled up like a sleeping bag for traveling or used in the car to protect your seats. Also another great feature is taking it and rolling the sides into little bolsters for using in a crate.
When mine starts to look any less than brand new, I will buy one here as the price is the best. Actually I would probably have multiples to keep in all the spots he likes to lounge(as right now, he goes and drags his bed to the spot he wants to lounge in)
