(More customer reviews)Nice, light weight scale for use in a small fruit stand. Requires 6 D batteries for portable use (not supplied). Looked at several different scales for our little fruit stand and finally decided on this one since we do not need to weigh more than 30 lbs at a time. Note: as far as I know, you must have your scale inspected by the proper agency before using it for legal trade.
Single laminated sheet provides most of the instructions you will need to operate scale. There is also a disc containing a manual - but the disc is not a full sized CD (about 1/2 size) and I hesitated to put it in my slot loading CD drive. No documentation could be found for this scale at the Mettler web site. Fortunately, the laminated instructions cover everything we have needed so far. One more note - if you are going to go back and forth between batteries and the AC adapter, you might want to label the adapter since it is "generic" looking and does not have "Mettler" printed on it, or any other indication as to what it is for. I don't know about you but I have a drawer full of orphaned AC adapters and don't want to add another one to it.
